Great article! The importance of a basement cannot be overstated with a rental, as it usually ends up just serving as a “storage facility” for the tenant’s belongings that they don’t use every day.

In addition to a basement, I always look for close proximity to an elementary school. Nothing can replace the ability to watch your kid walk to school, and see them the whole way there.
